Social and Personal
The death took place in Masterton on Sunday evening of Mrs A B Yates, a well-known and much-respected resident of the district. The deceased lady, who was born at Halifax, Yorkshire, arrived in Wellington in the ship Burman in 1842, and after living in Wellington for the next 32 years she left for Masterton, where she has lived ever since. She is survived by three sons and three daughters, Messrs, G; H; and E Yates, and Mesdames C Perry, H H Liddle, and E B Hare
